Effective January 1, 2020, the following code editions shall be in effect for construction projects within the city limits of Locust Grove: International Building Code 2018 Edition; International Residential Code -- 2018 Edition; International Plumbing Code -- 2018 Edition; International Mechanical Code -- 2018 Edition; International Fire Code -- 2018 Edition (no Georgia Amendments); International Energy Conservation Code -- 2015 Edition; International Fuel Gas Code -- 2018 Edition; International Property Maintenance Code -- 2012 Edition (with 2015 GA Amendments); International Swimming Pool and Spa Code 2018 Edition; National Electrical Code NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) -- 2018 Edition; The Code for Safety of Life from Fire in Buildings and Structures as contained in the National Fire Prevention Association Publication 101 (NFPA). All of these codes are with the respective Georgia Amendments and/or Supplements as adopted by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs unless as noted.
2020 Census – April 26, 2021 – Census released the Apportionment Counts for the US States to the President and Congress and the data can be found HERE. Further information for county and city data will be coming in the future, with most data made available for redistricting on or before September 30, 2021.Latest data available consists of the Vintage/Evaluation Estimates from the Census used for validation/calibration with actual Census figures.

2010 Census – April 5, 2012 – Census releases Urbanized Area designations for US effective March 26, 2012. Urbanized area of Atlanta grew second in terms of population (Houston, TX led), but ranked first in land area added between 2000 and 2010. For Henry County, the Atlanta Urbanized area increased throughout the I-75 corridor and incorporates roughly half the land area of the county. Locust Grove, previously the only city in the county classified as an "urban cluster" is now fully incorporated into the Atlanta Region.
