In addition to Henry County Parks and Recreation facilities, Locust Grove is home to safe and well-maintained parks for visitors and residents to enjoy throughout the year.

For more information on City parks, please call 770-957-5043.

Chase Maddox Park

601 Tanger Blvd.

Please remember to clean up after you pet! Please remember to abide by Chapter 6.04 (Animal Control Ordinance) with regards to pets under proper restraint, etc. Don't forget- vandalism is a crime, not a prank! Damage to our parks only cost everyone more to repair and may impair future use of the park's amenities.

Chase Maddox Park is the City's newest and largest park. The park is located on Tanger Blvd with easy pedestrian access for many nearby neighborhoods.

The City of Locust Grove invested nearly $1 million in the construction of the park, mostly from Development Impact Fees.

Chase Maddox Park features paved parking, two enclosed dog areas, a rubber walking track, pavilion with public restrooms, and a grassy field for open play.

Keep an eye on our website and social media pages for updates on a future ribbon cutting event!

Chase Maddox Park is named for Locust Grove Police Department's Officer Chase Maddox, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on February 9, 2018. We hope that as our residents and visitors enjoy the park, they are reminded of Officer Maddox's dedication to his community and love for the people of Locust Grove.

"Our family is profoundly honored with Locust Grove’s decision to name their new park after Chase. We will be eternally grateful to watch the citizens of Locust Grove and visitors live, laugh and play for generations to come. Chase’s heart and soul worked within the city limits and now the joy he brought to all of us will continue to be shared. As Chase Maddox said, “The Good Will Always Outweigh The Bad”. Bradin, Bodie and I are looking forward to many picnics, play dates and the new friendships we will build within the space created in honor of their wonderful and completely loved Dad." - Alex Maddox
