Colvin Drive Reconstruction Project Detour

Date: 11/30/2020 - 12/19/2020

Colvin Drive will be CLOSED between Davis Lake Road and SR 42 for approximately 3 weeks for reconstruction as part of improvements related to the new Industrial Park. Detour will consist of Davis Lake Road SOUTH to Jackson Street North back to SR 42.

Railroad Crossing Closures 

Railroad Crossings at South Bethany and Pine Grove Roads have been permanently closed by Norfolk Southern. Studies for alternate crossings are underway.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve traffic safety for our community.

Proposed Commercial Vehicle Lanes (CVLs)

Part of Georgia DOT's Major Mobility Investment Program (MMIP) project, the proposed CVLs would relieve some of the congestion between Macon and Atlanta along I-75 by taking truck traffic off of the mainline freeway. Rather then travelling with general traffic, trucks would be using barrier-separated designated lanes instead.
