The City of Locust Grove has been a nationally accredited Main Street Community since 2006. The department consists of City staff (organization), the Locust Grove Downtown Development Authority (economic development), Main Street Inc. 501c3 (promotion), and the Historic Preservation Commission (design). Main Street strives toward a historic downtown that is beautiful, economically vibrant, and an enjoyable destination for locals and visitor's alike.

Locust Grove Main Street Inc. 501c3 is primarily responsible for promotions and fundraising through downtown events. Funds raised at promotional events such as Groovin' in the Grove are directly reinvested in our historic downtown through our Façade Grant
